Can’t do #2? Try harder

There was a young lady Mary Lou

Who didn't know what to do

She'd spend the whole day crying

No matter how hard she was trying

She wasn't able to do #2

Mary Lou had a good friend John

Who was aware of her terrible plight

Every day he'd extend an invitation

'Won't you come and pay me a visit?

I'm sure it'll make you feel better, right?'

Mary Lou would always turn him down

Which was foolish I would say

She should have accepted his invitation

Going to John every day

Would probably cure her constipation!

Wait, I left out the word 'the'
'Going to the John every day'

It's probably unnecesary anyway

Without it, it's still pretty obvious

Duh!

Oh my dear! This was never

Oh my dear! This was never much of a problem until the years piled on irretrievably. We have lots of prunes, oatmeal, fibre drinks and such, just to get to a regular and painless movement.

Thank you so much..

Thank you so much for your comment. I'll never forget the advice my father gave me many years ago.  'Keep your mouth shut, and your bowels open'. Best advice I ever received. Thanks again.
