Shame on us

Next month it's 65 years since Joseph McCarthy

Challenged the Army He was a smarmy lowlife

With no wife and no life We may thought that

His types were gone permanently from the

American scene But we were mistaken

Here comes this jerk Probably never did

An honest days work in his life

Does have a beautiful wife

No soul underneath

Some thought he's our new man

Is he even human

The man? He won't be named

For today I am deeply ashamed

To be an American

God help us

I agree with you, a thousand

I agree with you, a thousand percent, and I applaud your courage to post your convictions.  If the election works as I hope and pray it will, scholars of presidential history will have a heyday with these last four years, and I look forward to their judgements.  On the day of President Obama's inauguration, I was proud to be a part of America, and, while the swearing in was being broadcast on closed circut tv in the office where I, then, was employed, I switched my phone off and stood up at my desk---out of respect for that moment of America's greatness.  We had elected, in 2008, a constitutional scholar, not a crooked real estate speculator and tax evader.  The election, just weeks away, will hopefully bring an overwhelming majority to vote an end to the travesty of this tarnished brass trum[eter's cacophonous solo, and restore harmony to our nation.
