like nothing

And then we walked like nothing had happened
our shoes scratched the ground but left no marks
though they sounded dangerously like pens
like our bodies had betrayed us
and sent our feet as scribes
to write the story out behind us

But of course they didn't, what a silly thought
you're paranoid
we both are, i'm sure
but don't touch my hair like that
