How to be a typical teenager

You throw a fit about every little thing,

You have an attitude towards everyone you see.

You hold grudges and start drama,

And get into fights.

But when you wake up the next morning-

Everything is just fine.

You finally find a job and are excited about it at first,

Then you realize it takes up your time,

And you think it couldn’t get any worse.

But then you realize graduation is coming up pretty soon,

And you find yourself scrambling for things you have to do.

And then you have relationships you must deal with as well,

No matter how much you seem to love them-

Some are a living hell.

Your parents tend to be the last people-

You wanna be around,

Once you hit fifteen or sixteen you don’t wanna be seen-

With them walking the town.

How can you be a typical teenager? Many young people will ask,

And all I have to say is “Don’t try to grow up to fast.”

good piece, yes teenagers want to be with their peers and oh no walk with a parent,no dice, not allowed hahalol..Having two full grown kids of my own in their late 20's I've been through this gamet with them, yet I do understand the privacy issue, the time for just them and their friends, having individuality but as a parent you also worry about them every minute of them and if you are lucky they don't cut you down for your caring during those times...
