I give to you this day

a day amongst no other

so hear when I say

Godbless to you, grandmother



My picture's on your wall

with a smile on my face

no reason why at all

to live without your grace



your love is always there

in everything you touch

you taught me words of prayer

now thankyou very much



cookies in the jar

and some milk on the table

love's not very far

in life's holy fable



It's almost nine O'clock

and it's time to go to sleep

go have your little talk

be sure to count your sheep



So I jumped in your bed

with big kid pajamas

but not before I said

thank God for our grandmas
