At the crossroads

I stand and wait

A big decision i have to make

Go left

Go right

Backwards or straight

Make a decision the day's getting late

Which direction to take

In a puddle i stare at my reflection

Not shocked my weathered pale complexion

Drifting off into deep thought

Thinking of the lessons 

My life has taught

Too many years i sold myself short

The negative's turn to positive thought's

I'm no longer scared

Sure of the decision ive made

Not going back

And ruled out sideways

I'm pressing on forward and that is that

Leaving troubles and woe's behind

I have to press forward on this journey of mine

And i'll do that with my head held high 

Hand in hand with you at my side
