The Tomb.

The dank, dark tomb,

Is but an empty room.

With rotting corpses, that once had life.

Here and there between crumbling coffins,

Lie pieces of bone, yellowed with age.

Scattered about with the dust and the stones

Are small bits of shroud, just wearing away.

Some of the coffins have been put up on shelves

As if in a shop, they are out on display.

The smell of the tomb is now musty and old,

And around some of the coffins grow pieces of mould.
