The Chase.
Four squirrels cling across the
fence like poorly placed works of
art.
Noughts and crosses play out
as the sun drifts over a tree
shadowed lawn.
The little dog waits
statue still, paw upraised
ready for that joyous
thrust of speed, any minute
now.....

Fudge Gets Exercise
Squirrels congregate after a romp and cheese canines. squirrels are territorial. Hard wired, both species. I enjoy the friendly competion. Dogs can't climb trees. Not yet :D
