* Because you believed in me*
You believe in who I am
And who I am becoming
You support the choices I make
And comfort me when my heart breaks
You don’t care what I look like
Or how many mistakes I might make
You will always love me
And this is not hard to see
You always give me advice
I trust you
Witch is why from me you’d never hear any lies.
You rocked me to sleep when I was a baby
Taught me how to love
You have faith in my future
And help me deal with each day that goes on
You make my heart smile
I cant imagine what it would be like if you were gone.
You have shown me how to give
No matter how long we are on this earth
I will be with you, like I was before my birth.
You give me strength,
Only to help me improve my weaknesses
Because of you I can climb any hill no matter how steep it is.
You have believed in me,
and the life that I am yet to live.
You have laughed with me.
And during hard times cried,
For these reasons you are the one I run to
In you my secrets I will confide.
You have raised me to be the person that I am.
My soul will always be free,
For one reason and every single moment,
That you believed in me.

Comments: For my mother the only friend I have in this world.
I have this poem on the wall at work where I can look at it all the time. I cherish each word and I want you to know how much I love you and how proud I am of your beauty, talent and sensitivity. You have overcome so many challenges of growing up and dealing with tough circumstances, illness and the issues of a very disfunctional family. In spite of it all, I hope you forgive me for the times that I was too blind and overcome with my own issues to realize how troubled you were and I want you to always feel you can count on me in the future. I love you so much and although I must nag about the usual "mom" issues, I support all your efforts and know you will be successful in life and love and anything you put your effort into. Thank you for writing this poem for me and for being such a wonderful daughter.
