"the heart is forever inexperienced"

that's not a hard statement to agree with. the heart is complex- but sadly, yes inexperienced. how do you explain to it that the feelings you felt yesterday aren't suitable for today's world? for today's harsh reality? (ha. cliche)

how can you explain, while it's doing it's job of pumping relativly tainted blood to stiff appendages, that what it thought was enough love, was nowhere near enough?

because you know it's emotional- and will ultimately blame it on not caring enough... spending too much time on something like... oh- i donno- keeping the body alive!

there are not enough cut-to-the-chase words to tell that story. nor enough time to do justice to every intricate detail of the first real love.

the one that takes every breath from your body. (the heart doesn't like that.)

no, a heart can't be prepaired for every experience, because aren't they all different?

they way your first love ends- bittersweet and painful- you hope it won't stick with you forever...

and in that fleeting moment of nostalga

you hope it will.

i won't give up on holding onto my experiences. the heart needs them to survive.

Author's Notes/Comments:

the title comes from a famous writer whoes name has just left me.. it's one of the three named guys. anyway, in scribblers (the writing club here at school) we get a writing prompt and then we write... that was the prompt... this is what i wrote.
