ear-marked pages (censoring love)

my pen writes black

                  the only color i'll use

for purposeful purpose

                  i'll write out my blues

i write these words

for no one but me

                  and you'll read them

                  looking for an answer

there's never been asked a question

don't stop till it breakes though

                  the lines from the tape

                  the hope from the fate

                  the sinner from the saint

when in doubt

watch

for everything you say to me

only comes true

                  after you say it

there are no surprises in my life

purposeful predictability

                  your incognito desguise

                  your beautiful... eyes

i'm chock full of

                  your lies

placed into this beginning

                  full of an end

it's cold outside

and i'm smitten

for you, friend

and i'm watching an expression

turn from blue

to gray

                  you found the rainbow

                  and dodged the rain

and focus was blurry

when your sad eyes cried

and i gave up wishing

these feelings had died

                  there are more words

                  then just an ending

                  so guage these ink marks

                  on anything but this

Author's Notes/Comments:

i wrote this while i was waiting for my composition class to start. it's funny to be in a class about writing and feel no inspiration to write... but then again, i guess no inspiration wasen't all that bad.

I love that line. Very much.
