i burned for you
so you could burn me
i set all our memories ablaze
in that field by my house
the one we spent so many nights
intertwined
rolling around
falling in love
i watch the smoke billowing
around my sad smile
i find comfort in the cold now
my jacket's not the same as you
but it's still here
you bought it for me
remember?
so i would never have to
...feel the cold
i still feel your tongue
the last time
you shoved it into my mouth
so i wouldnt cry
i remember the love from your kiss
so passionate
beautiful
painful when you stopped
kissing for love
i could cry for you
but why waste my
tears
for you
look, were not even together
and you still
make me cry
tears would just put this fire out
and i'm
still
burning
for
you
This poem just sort of reminds me of things..
i set all our memories ablaze
When I was being a library aide today, this girl came in wanting to look at past yearbooks, for some teacher, I think. Anyway. We had to take her I.D. card so she wouldn't steal the books, but then we left the room that she was in. I said, "What if she steals the memories?!?"
my jacket's not the same as you
but it's still here
Great line. And it also reminds me of a song by Nerf Herder, called "Jacket". I'll get you the lyrics sometime. It's the best song on that cd.
Anywho. That's all's I gots to say. I love windmills?
