Trust in the Lord
He's in control
You just have to stand still
Because he knows your name
Through
Good times
Bad times
And the in between
He may be unseen
But he'll never leave you
Or forsake you
So pray without ceasing
Rejoice forever more
Live by faith
Appreciate his Grace
Walk with him
Count your blessings
But let him live in your heart
And never let him grow apart
Quiet Is Kept
This is a black colloquialism from the 60's in Detroit and elsewhere. It is an idiom (has it's own special meaning, not the face meaning of the words). It means: Yes! or I agree with that emphatically. or simply "Amen!"
.
I hear the footsteps of God's grace
in the spirit hovering at my shoulder
d03ay, yearly.
.
I sense the presence of Christ
in the dropsof dew on three leaves
of one clover.
.
It is Father-God
who approves
my speech and nods
when the wind happens
softly and warm
against my cheek.
