You said one night

That you loved me,

But I thought, "Yeah Right

How can that be?"



Before then you had said

That you liked me no more.

I must admit, tears did shed

When you walked out that door.



Days, weeks, and months then passed

You were always in my heart.

I still thought our love could last

Even if we were apart.



To my surprise, you came back.

You said you loved me once more.

Trust in you I sure did lack

Because of what you did before.



You quickly asked me out

But I quickly said no.

My heart started to shout.

That was the wrong way to go.



I learned my lesson fast.

True love can't be stopped.

It's always gonna last

Whether you like it or not.



I guess I was too late

Cause I lost you again.

Now I'll just have to wait

For my broken heart to mend.



I only ask you one favor.

Please remember what I tell you.

These words you must savor

Cause they're nothing but true.



I'll always be there for you.

You know I'll always care.

And I will always love you.

No matter what you tear.
