Everything that we'll always be

You're hiding past fears behind a quivering smile

I wish I could ignore the warm drips

If only for a while

Now my heart is soaked with your troubles

Low ground a salty streams finding

Where we lay weak, tears grow into puddles

You're drowning just inches under

Yet it feels like miles

What could I speak to make you raise up in wonder

Everything that we'll always be

I'm still waiting for you to see
