Adages and Short Thoughts

The future may be important, but when you're always looking forward, don't forget to look around too.

When you need a friend look to your family.

Even best friends are friends at best.

Take chances, because you never know until you know, and by then it's usually too late.

You are not defined by who you love, but rather by who loves you.

It's easy to stick to what you know, but you won't know a thing.

As the years go by, so do I.

The only thing anyone can be one-hundred percent sure of, is that no one is ever one-hundred percent sure of anything.

Sometimes, something and everything are the same.

What good is tomorrow if one procrastinates today?

It's true that it is wise not to judge a book by its cover, but it is wiser still to realize books have covers for a reason. At least take hypothetical note of the cover.

It's amazing what you can learn from what people don't want you to know.

The past is merely the footprints of now; the future, the direction they're facing.

Telling somebody they can't do something is one of the most effective ways of getting them to do it.

Nobody's what you think they are, they're either better or worse, anyone can surprise you if you give them the chance.

What is life but a collection of memories? And memories, a vague perception of another life.

The greatest Hell is not knowing if there is one.

More oft than not, the wise are those who claim to know naught.

Just because Love is hot doesn't mean it's true-even shit burns.

Greatness and perfection exist solely in perception.

If you are not both loved by one, and hated by another, you are not living.

One can only know a thing so far as one knows the opposite of that thing.

The reason most people find me pleasant is that I don't find them worth the breath lost in correcting their idiocy.

The Thing About Poetry Is That . . .

You can write it any time in your life course, submit it for publications on line easily, and become known as a poet eventually. Tis fun too. - allets -
