I'll no longer stand at the edge,

Instead i'll sit and close my eyes.

Because I'm not gonna step forward

or step back again,

I'll just sit and wait.

Wait for people to care,

for them to make sense of things.

I'll wait for my mind to settle

to lift the fog of madness.

Wait for all the sadness 

to turn into happiness.

Wait for love to join me

not in bonds or chains

but as a friend.

And so that before I stand,

for at least one moment, 

it will no longer be dark at the edge.

But instead filled, with the light

of the morning sun.
