I sit here in his office
watching that old clock
in this little tied up night gown
waiting for the doc
My nerves are all a jingle
wonderin' what he'll say
will I be happy with his news
or will it be a bad day
Well, here he is
a bunch of papers in his hand
the look upon his face is somber
guess my check up ain't so grfand
Well, I know I'm somewhat overweight
I weigh about two hundred ten
guess I need to lose about a hundred
and get myself real slim
he said my chlosterol is higher than the sky
three eighty is over the top
I'll have to take some pills to get it down
or my heart might take a flop
He said my kidneys have a stone or two
and I know, for they hurt like hell
all in all it seems to me
I'm not doing so very well
I know my blood pressure is a little high
but it don't trouble me much
I''ll take some pills to get it down
then my blood won't be in a rush
The Doc. say's if I want to live a normal life
I have many things o change
a better diet, more exercise, more liquids
or he's not responsible for a thing
so, OK I guess that does it
I have to get an over haul
for now my chances aren't to good
and I could just sit down and bawl
You have my sympathy. If you
You have my sympathy. If you were my friend, I'd take you out for a good walk every day to help you out.
