My boyfriend came to take me home

but now my heart's as cold as stone

and now I sit here all alone

cause I went and broke my pelvic bone

I sat in the E R freezing cold

with not a blanket to unfold

so now my voice is harsh and bold

because I caught a bloomin' cold

And now my boyfriends gone away

because he simply could not stay

now for stupidity I must pay

and sit and rue that horrid day

And now I hide my head in shame

for I know I was to blame

and for weeks on crutches I must remain

and have all this awful pain

Each time I move I holler some

and now I'm feeling rather dumb

and I sure don't feel like number one

and I ain't having any fun

So now I sit here in this chair

wishing I was off up there

for in Michigan, we'd been a pair

and love each other with out compare

And now I sit in gloom and doom

so alone and out of tune

and I feel like a big baffone

knowing it won't heal too soon

Today I'm sad, for I'm alone

and for silly things I must atone

for Monday I slipped and then was thrown

and broke my stupid pelvic bone
