A tiny titmouse soft and grey
came to our house one sunny day
he looked around as if to stay
and then he simply flew away
I put some seeds up in the tray
and he flew back to eat and play
I watched him from my window bay
this tiny bird so soft and grey
And next morn he came again
and this time he brought a friend
a tiny creature wild and weak
with small brown eyes and pointed beak
and on the bird house they did land
whose post I'd planted in the sand
I watched them as they chirped and preened
tinyest creatures, I'd ever seen
I watched them as the days went by
I noticed that they both did fly
back and forth with worms and bugs
to feed a nest of hungry birds
now I call these birds my friends
for all their time with me they spend
and now their here for all to see
this tiny titmouse family
I loved this, so beautifully
I loved this, so beautifully written that I could see them. :-) X.
