Being torn apart
Within the maelstrom of my rage
I close my eyes
Take a deep breath
And she is here.
My butterfly
My rainbow
My angel
My queen
My anchor
Children murdered with a bomb
Teenagers stabbing each other to death
Our politicians and big mouths spreading the hate
My own insignificant cares and worries
My anchor smiles at me
Reaches her haloed hand towards me
Calms my soul
Takes my anger
And turns them into butterflies and rainbows
And fills me with peace
With hope
My butterfly
