New Day

Why does my heart and soul ache so much?

Dearest Eris why must I suffer so?

You feed off of my discord and displeasure.

You leach off of my pain and my sorrow.

Nyx you have brought the night so dark.

Companion of Eris, show me pity!

A blanket of darkness you have bestowed upon me!

I beg of you! Show a morsel of mercy!

Why must my life come to an end like this?

What a disgrace that the one to end it all is Eris.

Why will no one help? Do you not hear?

I am not far I am quite near.

Do you choose to ignore my pleas?

Oh dearest Hecate help me please!

Helios and his sun have turned their backs on me.

To the sorceress I must turn for aid.

My debts to Hades must be paid.

Or shall my string of life be cut?

And the gates of Heaven forever shut?

Alas, Eris, Hades one last thing I ask

Cast away all my sorrow, pain and fears at last!

Leave me to die in peace hear my plea, please!

The final hour has finally come,

Regrets and sorrows completely gone.

Im slipping...cradle me in your arms beloved Death.

Take me far, far away.

Take me away from the happiness or sadness,

From the night and day.

Carry me off into oblivion where I may find refuge

I have lost my love, my life, and my hope.

Something I cannot bare but with which I must cope.

Slowly I return to this world of pain

Why must I return to the torture again?

I am left with nothing but silence;

A deafening silence.

But in the midst of this hour a shimmer of hope I see.

Aurora peeking through the darkness staring at me.

Dearest child do not lose your hope,

I am here finally to help you cope!

I am here to bring you the help that you desire.

I am here to bring back that longed humble fire.

I am here to love you, I am here to stay.

I have given you another chance, a brand new day...

Author's Notes/Comments:

I hate it when no one will hear you and no one cares but ur imaginary allies and foes, in this case mythological characters. My life is dark but in the midst of my final hours i always find a shimmer of hope...

I definitely like the use of mythological figures here. Though the genres seem to be a bit mixed ;)
