Thank you to the Human

That took me into her home

I was left tied up to a fence

Afraid and all alone

I was cold and confused it was

The middle of January 

When I got tied up to that fence

I never did anything  to deserve this

Things just didn't make any sense

I was only 1 year old at the time

When I was abandoned , and

 I really don't know why

But you the one with a great

 Big  Heart Took me home, 

 I was so happy,  I wanted to cry. 

You didn't have to do it, taking me

 to a place so nice and warm

Allowing me to become part

Of your family, I did my best

To conform

I hope I  served you well, I did  

the best that I could

For 14 Years I was there for you 

To comfort and protect you like I should

Now its time to say good bye

As my ageing body slowly shuts down

You've given me a wonderful life

So continue to Be happy,  there is no

 reason to frown.
