I remember it all
15 and wild, but a good girl
I smiled brightly while my grandmother brushed my hair.
I kept looking out the window, watching
For him to come out of HIS
Grandmother's house next door.
I blushed.
I tried on shirts for an hour
When my grandmother pulled this
Lacy black top out of her closet.
It fit like a dream and
I blushed again.
A little too sexy for me
But it would do.
He came knocking on my back door
I shivered as I tried to grab the door knob.
A jaw drop.
Yet again I blush
We went to a movie
He put an arm around me
And I laid my head on his chest
Breathing deeply
So VERY happy
He left at the end of that summer
To go back home in the next state
Emails Phone calls Letters
I blossomed that year
I did not know he had come back
My glasses were gone
My hair was blonde
Sitting on the back deck with my family
I glaced over across the driveway and caught
Him staring
Jaw again on the ground.
I told my family a joke
They laughed until they cried.
Later that night
Hanging out in the warm air
I heard him calling my name
We both walked out of our gates
Met in the middle
He grabbed me in a tight embrace
Our first kiss
Our grandmothers both watching
From their kitchen windows
Smiling at eachother
