The yesteryears behind me
Yet everything is clear
I can still remember visions-
Vividly they appear.
Mom is outside in her garden
Flowers she grew alot
Hours she spent her time in planting
That was her little love.
Dad was out somewhere
We never really knew
Maybe doing some accounting,
but he was hardly ever home.
My aunt and grandma below us
While my cousin usually played upstairs
Haunting stories he would tell us
He usually gave us a scare.
Hide and seek, we used to play
My sisters and I hid away
From 1 to 100, we counted on
And looked for each other til the early morn.
