Sometime tomorrow morning, the morning of Orthodox Holy Thursday, the rehabilitation facility where I have been for several weeks will discharge me to return home.
At the same time my affliction was ramping up its attack upon my body, our Archbishop, his Eminence Archbishop Paul, was diagnosed with multiforme glioblastoma---an aggressive and incurable brain cancer. Although the Archbishop's medical team believed that the progress of the cancer could be delayed with radiation and chemotherapy, the cancer has begun a surge of attack. My pastor was alerted by the diocese administration that, apparently, the Archbishop's repose may be more imminent than at first estimated. Orthodox clergy and faithful have been asked to increase their prayers for His Eminence during this difficult time; and I here ask you, who are reading this---whether you are an Orthodox Christian, or some other denominated Christian; or even if you are not a Christian---to offer prayer or a good thought for his Eminence Archbishop Paul.
I thank the Lord for my impending release.
