As long as insurrectionists are permitted to do
and say the extremeties they have said and done,
the possibility of another thuggering coup
is probable, and may be a successful one.
And this will threaten our national polity---
the horrific effect of their damnable perfidy
will befoul our precious democracy,
and drive our vast fellowship, socially,
into further shadows of crude discourtesy,
and all variations of inequity.
With discredited thoughts, their tongues wildly wag
while their filthy hands wave a confederate flag:
they are the betrayers of all Americans;
not liberty's, but Hellfire's, daughters and sons.
