We live in an age of verbal decadence

in which carefully earned, literary experience

is casually discounted and dismissed;

and anything they want to call Poetry

is counted as such, even when most obviously

not; and the ego's ferocious laxity

replaces the bothersome skill of artistry.

I despise such leveling---and off I am pissed.
