To All The Poets Of Postpoems

Despite our differences in approaches to Poetry,

we are---on this magnificent site---a community:

therefore, when one of us sorrows, or suffers, or stumbles to a fall,

we must be ready at all times to express real empathy,

for the joys and pains of each one do, indeed, effect us all.

Especially when the situation is dire, and the path seems rough,

remember Pop Stevens' words that "Being there together is enough."

Author's Notes/Comments:

Recent . . . real recent . . . events have reminded me, once more, of the profound sense of community that is inherent in Postpoems---and it cannot be ignored, or simply shunted aside.  None of us are alone here, and we need to remind each other often of that.

The last line quotes Wallace Stevens' late poem, "Final Soliloquy Of The Interior Paramour," a poem I heartily recommend to any Poet to read.   Although I rarely do this, and do not intend to make a habit of it going forward, I am going to add two links to the poem for those who might find them useful:
