great Vergil described the Roman destiny:


but we have plummeted from that---such perfidy;

that is not just my opinion, but is obviously

evident in and throughout our recent history;


full of mayhem and murder, an obdurate travesty.


Ye gods!, what has Rome been, and what ever shall it be?

What is it now, and what is it coming to

now that we rule?  My reign as Princeps has been the
