Our knowledge of that ancient time is admittedly abbreviated.

Those humans who believed they were perfect were called, Originated.

Those whom residence on alien planets had mutated,

genetically, were called---and marginalized as---the Alternated

(and that included the lovers who were labeled Homogenated);

and then emerged the formless, shapeless beings called Attenuated.

All who were considered defectively imperfect were entirely hated,

stripped of their human dignity and banished, or segregated,

from Earth and the Earthlikes, all worlds thus denominated.

Into this legendary past's history, your study has graduated.
