[after 1 Corinthians 4:7]
What have I that I have not received?
Even the Faith, with which I have believed
unto Salvation, is itself a gift.
I could not even rise from sin's mire, without a lift
from the hand of Christ, in which I am kept.
Though arrogant, ignorant, and contemptibly inept,
I have been redeemed, despite all lack of worth.
When Christ summons me, I shall depart this Earth,
to soar starward with ultimate anticipation
of the joy in Christ's Kingdom, and my soul's exultation:
for Christ's shed blood has secured the Heavenly
privilege through all of eternity
for those He has saved . . . even the likes of me.
