At The Outer Edge Of Eden, Seth Beholds The Stars [First Version]

The glory of the stars is the beauty of Heaven. . .

---LXX Sirach 43:9

"Nor can we suppose that Seth was less

instructed . . . the prime cultivator of astronomy . . ."

---James Anderson, The Constitutions Of The Freemasons

James Anderson, writing about Freemasonry,

asserted that Seth, son of Adam, cultivated

first knowledge of the stars, now called astronomy;

so much the Heavens were deeply appreciated.

Perhaps he was, by one of Cain's son's, sore abused---

a son of Cain steeped in a braggart's ignorance---

by shrill accusatory without evidence;

which neither courtesy nor reason had excused.
