Musical Motif For, Perhaps, A Cello Sonata

In 4/4 time, and the key signature E flat:

quarter notes Es (E flat), then above it

                    D flat, then between them

                    A flat, then below it

                    F;

followed by a quarter rest, then the same

                   A flat, then above it

                   D flat, then an exact octave below

                   D flat

This motif is repeated in each movement of the sonata, but

provides the main theme for the first movement only.  Although

not the main theme of the last movement, it does provide for

the final sequence of notes.
