Doctor's routine examination

discovered something wrong with my lungs or heart.

Please pray:  if this is the final part

of my pilgrimage here, that Christ instill

that which keeps me closest to His Will;

nor worldly compromise or contamination

of almost a quarter century's Salvation;

that I may proceed with joyous expectation,

pressing toward the mark ahead

without hesitation

or dread.
