At The Arena With The Lionkeeper

Most of the Christians say . . . or some . . . or few,

that their God said, when he was crucified,

"Forgive them, for they know not what they do,"

and then, like all such criminals, he died.

Does Golden-Mane deserve forgiveness too?

Last night, he chewed a Christian girl apart---

so that he could devour her lungs and heart.

Now he will not receive his daily ration---

for several days.  This is not punishment;

but careful training, with the sole intent

that he attack his next victims with passion

also.  Hunger can quickly override

sloth.  If the beast has been too satisfied,

lack of cooperation will ensue.
