If tomorrow doesn't come
What if tomorrow doesn't come?
Would you say your life's complete?
Have you taken for granted the many things
That if lost would seem so sweet?
Did you take time to smell the roses
Before they withered away?
And when you were unnecessarily rude
Did you take the time to say:
"I apologize for the way I acted,
it won't happen again.
Please forgive my disrespect
And once more, call me your friend."?
Have you told someone you loved them?
And have you proved it true?
Because if tomorrow doesn't come
You'll have to hope they knew.
Have you picked up the phone
And called a friend "just because"?
Do you listen to what she has to say
And everything she does?
There are no second chances
when it comes to life
So you have to grab a hold of the present
And hang on to it really tight
So what are you waiting for?
Do you want to leave this world in sorrow?
Because if tomorrow doesn't come
You can't put it off until tomorrow
Pick up the phone right now
Before it gets too late
Because you never know when it's your turn
To enter heaven's gate
Tell someone you love them
And that if tomorrow you never wake
You want them to know forever
That your love was never fake
Express what's in your heart
And strive to accomplish your dreams
Remember the good things in life
And that the unpleasant aren't as bad as they seem
So if you knew tomorrow wouldn't come
What would you be anticipating?
Who would you call? What would you do?
And why are you waiting?
