Relaxed in a daze
Head filled with so much clarity
Wrapped in a blanket of wisdom
Feeling at ease
speakers pounding
Caught up in a beat
Music all around me
The sound of an acoustic
Is all I can hear
Music is all that matters right now
Each song fades to the next
Keeping my musical hype built up
Singing along with the lyrics
Falling deeper in to the rhythm
My music envelops me
Gone from reality
At such ease
Music is my lifesaver..
Well written and so true. Music and poetry are the 2 ways I let my emotions escape. But when I read this poem I instantly thought about the poem about music that I wrote..even though it's set up differently the two can be matched up together I think. Robin, this is a wonderful poem, and true of so many others than yourself (including me)! I get lost in music and I get lost in poetry, they just seem to take my troubles away.
