I don't understand the world today
The price some people would rather pay
For the stupid things they'll do and say
The shouting, the killing
The ton of blood is it really worth spilling?
The pain, the tears which many shed
Because of the life thoughtlessly led
The stealing, the lies
So many unfortunate good-byes
I don't understand why we do the things we do
The promises blew
Why do we fight?
Even when we know it's not right
Is it because we have lost all our insight?
I don't understand
The things that we do make me wonder
Will the things we do slow drag us under?
Is it the fault of everyone around?
Or is it ourselves that bring us painfully to the ground?
Are we all to blame for the faults of each other
This is a answer I have yet to discover
We are quick to point the finger at one who looks guilty
But are slow to judge those who linger
Facing innocent
Some don't think for themselves
And fallow as if on command
And this I don't understand
Why?
I don't understand.
Very powerful!
