As the rain pours,
I wonder into thought.
The lightening flashes
and the memories are brought
of the last time
I could sit and write,
while the rain came down,
and I felt alright.
When my words were happy,
before the clouds came in.
My hardship in life
was about to begin.
But before it did
I met a stranger.
A blue-eyed boy
that started my danger.
I should have learned,
from that short love spell,
that seriousness
does not go down well
when you're under eighteen
and you try to find
real love so young.
I was so blind.
Lust was the answer,
for such a young phase.
Remember "blue eyes?"
"Yeah, those were the days!"
But I seemed to forget
as my life stormed by,
winds blowing, full speed,
and another good-bye.
But then the clouds cleared.
I again, found my danger.
I reconnected
with that blue eyed stranger.
Now, I sit on our porch,
watching the rain,
writing this poem,
with the love that I gained.
After trials and strife,
I found my true love!
I'm 'blue eye's' wife,
with clear skies above.

Author's Notes/Comments:
What is significant to me about this poem is that when I was 12, my mom, sister, and I lived with my aunt and uncle. I have a very vague memory of a time when it was pouring outside and I sat on their porch and wrote a poem that is called 'Stormy Evening.' It is one of my favorite poetry writing memories, and it was also the last time I was inspired literally by rain. I met this boy within six months of that day. He was the son of my mom's friend, and was only in town visiting. We had a young love spell experience for a few days, then we didn't hear from each other for years! I had a lot of issues in high school, the next following years. When I wrote it was dark and inspired by taunted feelings. Now that I am back with Mr. Blue eyes, and married, my poems seem to be lighter and more in love. Writing this poem was the first time I was inspired literally by rain since that day. The poem its self might not flow, but after reading this, you can better understand it's significance to me. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this! It is appreciated!

:D THANKS TIA!!! idk why u
:D THANKS TIA!!! idk why u get chills and start crying?!??! but i'm sure its close to the fact that our lifestyles have a lot in common when it comes to poetry words. We think and feel the same way about things. When I read some of your poems I can almost always put myself standing right next to you and looking at the situation as if I was there.. I really need to go through and concentrate on ur poems. I have read through most of them, but I haven't yet gotten the chance to seriously take in the emotion. LOL. When that happens you'll see a few more poems on here that are new because I will be inspired! lol. I MISS U GUYSSSS!!!!
