Left alone in the dark

battling demons

I never meant

to call into existence.

they came with me,

They came with you.

Its the crossfire 

between you and me

the existential marks

left upon layers of scars

upon endless battles.

I deal with the pain

inflicted by your,

panicked stricken ideas

and short attention span.

you deal with the pain 

inflicted by my 

understanding of existence 

focused attention to the plan.

where are you now

when I feel so cold? 

Torn up and spat out

the door of your heart again.

I am nothing but an echo

that hunts the guilt in your mind 

Off to fight your own devils 

when it's clear we should combine 

and face it back to back.

They came with you,

they came with me;

yet, here I am,

fighting your demons 

alone in the dark,

making my own

And tending my wounds,

a torn and bleeding heart. 

Still hoping,

groping in the dark.
