I have squandered my time

smokey haze on the water
under my sandcastles in the air.
love on the run,
living on hold
an old story retold
burned my time
it won't return with my heart
it laughed while
stars fell from my eyes,
twinkles of sadneSS
from my dark rain
torrents lashing cheeks
carrying my love soaked
emotions from me
swallowed hopes gather
and gurgle away
where I can't feel them anymore
the sand blows away,
grain by grain
with each crystal of pain
the symmetry
slips into the
