madness in grey

Madness
where am I
who do I stay?
can it be for others
as it can be for me?

like plovers not sure when to swoop or flee
cackling through the decision
there is no peace there is not rest
there is only a desire for a higher quest
but such a quest is madness and can only be sought in gray
no use to pray or sway from one to the other deliverance is for those others

keeping it on the level I float higher and fall further
intangible yet its out there.
I know it in my bones of wakening
as the dirt came off the coffin
being just the one to understand what is not understood
I can not flee or swoop other than what is in me

an imaginging of useful philosophies usually calms the tide
but there is today a hold of nothing but madness inside
woe is me an you and any other who embark on
the other side of either gray
there is not a sound
or word
or gesture
that could
even
closely
come
with in
the
understanding
of the
shit
strewn
across
my
bay
and
i
look
at the
fray
nothing but
madness in the
gray.

Really hard

to find one of your poems that has not been disected by everyone in the directory... That is a good thing... You keep the hum humming and the buzz a buzzing.
Your words gather pace and test the myth that all that matters is the grey matter…
We both know it is not so black or white, not easy as some would like it to be. Not always a Polly Anna world…
Anyhoo, wanted drop by, and say, Hi! and Happy New Year!!!

Peace
Dylan

Happy new year Dylan! You,

Happy new year Dylan! You, are one whose opinions and poetry I hold in high regards, thank you friend, have a better than happy new year; have a wonderful and creative one! HugSS ps yes it's all grey but broken into its elements perhaps grey is just an illusion and it's really the effect of white particles of light being too close to black particles... The mystery continues...? ;)

Don't let any one shake your dream stars from your eyes, lest your soul Come away with them! -SS
