high saturation and media and early development of sexual ideas the kids learn about it younger and younger these days. Time comes at the cost of something. sleep for me is often a luxury but I have to forgo it sometimes to do all the things I do. the generation gap is getting wider and poor parenting due to un structured environments dont help. I am currently writing a paper on the saturation of information in school that is readily available on the internet. if you need it you will look for it. learning needs to change a little. we need to teach the skills of finding rigorous information not wikipaedia although it is a great starting point and has many great references! anyways we Need to pair it down to the basics and learn one font at a time especially in the formative years. We currently have a high textual exposure when teaching kids to read. they are 'exposed' to lots of different writing styles and instead on seeing 24 x 2 characters caps and lowecase to memorise there are upto 180 characters to recognise in various shapes. I believe they should stick to one type of font till reading and understanding is established. the curriculum is too full and less qulatative. short attention spans do not help, I have a personal pet peeve with victorian cursive which is supposed to encourage neater writing. writing is fast becoming a lost art. touch typing has taken over. lol besides Learning something isnt always fun but it usually stems from a necessity. college is good because people who go there want thier education. the poor students that want their education in highschools every are verymuch hindered by the massive social pressures and misbehaviours in class. thanks for letting me vent. lol sprry, I run into many teens going the wrong way... it sort of sparked it . they always respond that they cant read or write well so why bother...
