How many SsmoOthies can a poet take
Before being predisposed to abhor the feed
SSlurp that flavour down, sticks in your throat!
I read, I write, heck so much it begins to bloat!
Is there a limit of how much before a puke?
Its a whopper grasshopper green, no fluke
sitting on the page overleaf looking for poetry treats
not a crickets dire audienceless symphony
I pour it on thick, and spin it with my flavor
And then you drink it in Ssmooth taste to Ssavor
When you smile back, careful you don't get bits
Sstuck betwixt your teeth! I think it's time
To hang up my rhymes for a liitle while
and get on with my Real, fabulous life! ;)
I have to go for a while, the drama curtains call.
The show must go on and on with the show!
I'll have to write my stuff on the go
But don't worry I'll still look in on you every little while
You know I gotta surf these oceans of great liners,
In the deep lime sea of rhyme or unrhyme reasons
teary and leery, righteous, hateful,
Living, and loving, joyful and sinful,
painful, soulful, shy and bold
they keep me coming back
But for now I give a slight reprieve
And can only post poems and leave
Please forgive that this is so for any one who'll
Miss the sea of lime green flow.
