The curse of freethinkers.
I collect as many who try
To pull apart what I am
as who like me un put together
how is it that what I am offends?
I think that life is beautiful yet hard,
I think God is wonderful,
I am happy to be made as I am.
I am a revolution
A free spirited thinker
Totally unbound by thoughts
That carry others into a tiz!
I don't judge,
I don't care if your different
You're all worth something to me.
I have fun
and I can enjoy
the fruits of hard labor.
I love and laugh and live and give.
If this offends then so be it!
the problem lies
with you My friend.
If you think one thought
let it not be of me
For I am undeserving.
Merely a freethinker.
Though last I checked
thoughts were free
And so was
being funny and nice.
So don't charge
because I don't.
With regards to your
With regards to your question, I think you should leave it with "I." Changing to "we" no longer tells the reader about you. Yes, they'll connect with it, but not in the same way. As it is, people read about it and seeing its you, identify with you (they make it "we" in their minds). Even if they don't identify with it, at least they know more about you then.

As Is
I like it as it is - with the "I" perspective. It defines who you are and, as for me, I like who you are;)
