I turned an ornery day
upside down, inside out!
I turned it on its head
from feeling better off dead
to absolutely something else!

I did it in the blink of an eye
I did with ease and
I did it with style
I didn't do it to please
I made a split decision
I did it for me and my mind's ease

From wallow to wit
unwritten to writ
I turned around and flipped it
I gave it the bird and
Sung it bye-bye birdie
Bye-bye.

I turned an ornery day
into something different
It was by a simple choice
I turned it into my auspicious
Awaking day!

And celebrated this
renewed day with a new song
sung in a new way!
