life is grey 

dull

uninspired 

like this poem no one wants to read 

stagnant waters of emotion swallow me

despair is the only undercurrent that runs through me

i have no originality to spark a new life

the world stole it from me

it didn't love me like I wanted it to

it turned every hope into dead end possibilities

i forgot how to climb

I forgot how to dig deep

I waited so long for someone to notice

I placed so much happinesSS in their unwitting hands

I know what it takes I don't care

why won't you come and take me there

if I go I'll get lost and find my self some where new and challenging 

if I follow you instead

at least I won't be lonely

I don't even like talking to my self I'm so

uninspiring and boring

grey is neutral

but also black and white?

ill sit on the fence 

I have no one

I have nothing

I can not will not make a choice

I see no way out

the kids in the play ground make me sick

how can they be so happy?

well I won't abandon this feeling

like you all abandoned me  

i am more loyal than all of you, 

and in some way that makes me better than you

even if I'm miserable to the point of apathy 

it's my lot n life

and who am I to fight the powers that be 

I am nothing in this universe

a blip of unfortunate

who cannot see how choosing positivity 

in one small thought could turn the powerful dark tide of pain 

into an ocean of joy 

even though others do it everyday

they are not me 

they don't know they have to be this way

it isn't as simple as choosing different.

is it?
