WINTER IN NEW ENGLAND

    WINTER IN NEW ENGLAND

The snow fell gently to the ground

The sky above was bright

Despite the cold my heart was warm

I know this had to be right

The beauty of the winter snow

Upon the dark brown earth

Makes the entire world seem fragile

And humans know their worth

So it is on this cold brisk day

We welcome this mantle of white

That falls from the sky so gently

Making the world seem bright

I always loved the way snow

I always loved the way snow made the earth and hills and trees – look like a fabulous dream-scape.
