She lay upon the ground
A single feather could not be found
Her heart was broken, torn in two
such was her love for you.
She curled up into a ball
invisible to you, invisible to all.
She closed her eyes, dead to you and me,
for there was nothing left to see.
A heartbeat so faint it could not be felt
Like the pain, it would never melt.
She sighed the sigh of Angels, too long to die
And silently waited, for another century to pass by.
Mankind is cruel, she knew that, but why?
She knew there was no answer, for life is all a lie
Sometimes she thought mankind should just die
But then Angels would never cry.
